Sunday School

The Chi Rho gathers every Sunday morning from 10:00 - 10:50 to learn more about faith, values, and the Bible through lessons and activities with our wonderful Sunday school teachers. Youth are invited to worship before Sunday School at our 9:00 Celebration Service in the fellowship gym or afterward in the 11:00 Traditional Service in the sanctuary.

Sunday Night Youth Group

On most Sunday evenings during the school year (see the calendar page) the Chi Rho and our youth group sponsors meet at the church from 5:00-6:30 to have fun and grow closer to one another as a community. Each meeting typically begins with a light supper provided by parent volunteers, followed by a lesson and fun activities. Though ever meeting is different, what remains the same is that each week we are creating a space where youth are accepted, nurtured, challenged, and loved as a vital part of our faith community.

Wednesday Night youth recreation

On most Wednesday evenings the whole church gathers at 6:00 for a delicious fellowship dinner. Afterwards, the CYF and Chi Rho gather in the gym for a variety of recreational activities from 7:00 - 8:00. It may be crateball, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, kickball, or a completely made-up sport (what, you've never heard of crateball?). Our goal is to provide a safe environment where our youth and adults can grow closer to one another through the unique joy that comes from play.

Summer Camps at Bethany Hills

Each summer, our middle schoolers have the opportunity to join with middle school youth from Disciple churches all over Tennessee for one of two week-long Christian camp experiences at our church camp, Bethany Hills. Youth who have completed grades 6 and 7 attend Chi Rho Camp, while those who just completed 8th grade attend 8ers Camp. Over the course of the week the campers and counselors deepen their faith and grow closer to others through keynotes, small groups, games, interest groups, worship, prayer, large group activities, and (of course) camp food. Fall and Spring Chi Rho Retreats

Take the fun and faith we experience at our summer camps, cram it into one great weekend, and presto! You have the Chi Rho retreats that take place in November and April every year. A great chance to get away and recharge at Bethany Hills during the school year.

Chi Rho Mission Trip

Each summer our middle schoolers and a group of intrepid adults hit the road for a trip that takes us away from our usual routine and surroundings. When we reach our destination, we spend our days serving people in the community, experiencing the culture of the area, and growing closer to one another and God through fellowship and devotional time. Other Random Things During the Year

In addition to all of these ministries, the Chi Rho are also involved in fundraisers, Vacation Bible School, Youth Ski Retreat, and other things too numerous to list or describe. Check out the Youth Calendar and Youth News to stay on top of things coming up for all of our youth groups!
