Sunday School – Classes are available for everyone from toddlers to senior adults. Our Sunday school classes meet at 9:45 each Sunday morning and are taught by volunteers who sense that God is calling them to teach others, lead discussions, or facilitate studies that enrich our lives of faith.

Youth and Children – We understand the importance of ministry to (and by) our youth and children, and are continually working to provide a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for young people to grow closer to one another and to God. Wednesday Night Fellowship Dinner -- 6:00 p.m. – The table is spread each Wednesday evening during the school year, when we gather to eat, fellowship, enrich our lives and feed our spirits. This is a great opportunity to visit with your church family, get to know knew members and guests, and participate in the music ministries that follow our weekly dinner.
 

Southern Bells This is the adult Handbell choir which rings during the worship service at least once a month and on special holidays. The Southern Bells have performed for outside groups and services. They practice every Sunday evening.

Habitat for Humanity This is a community ministry in Collierville supported by many churches. Collierville Christian supports Habitat for Humanity financially and with actual builds. Many relationships have been formed through this service.

Food Pantry Collierville Christian Church participates in a local food pantry. The Ministerial Association has a representative who assists people with food needs by referral. Members make food offerings on special and designated Sundays as well as financial contributions to help meet community needs.


Halloween and Christmas parties. The fellowship ministry of the church offers many fun and safe events at the church for youth and neighborhood kids. Games, food, and activities are planned to enhance and add structure to holidays within a spiritual environment.

Scouting The Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies and Girl Scouts actively use the facilities of the church. The church sponsors Boy Scout Troop 56. Collierville Christian strongly encourages the scouting programs as a growth development tool for all youth.

Souper Bowl Sunday The Youth of the church collect $1/person on Super Bowl Sunday each January. All monies received go to a local charity or outreach. A letter listing the total amount raised by each church is then sent to the Souper Bowl headquarters. Millions of dollars, donated by hundreds of churches throughout the nation, are assisting people with their needs.

Summer Camps and Retreats All the Youth of the church are encouraged to participate in Spring and Fall weekend retreats and week-long summer camp at Bethany Hills, our denomination's church camp just west of Nashville.Our church pays one-half of the registration fee for all church members, and additional scholarship assistance is available as well.

Maundy Thursday Reenactment and Tenebrae (Holy Week services) At the Upper Room communion service Jesus shared with His disciples a meal prior to His death. Maundy translated means “to command.” Jesus' command to all disciples is to “love one another as I have loved you.” The symbols of bread and wine remind us of God’s love for us through our Lord Jesus,

The Tenebrae service is a service of darkness. Scripture, singing, prayer and the closing of the Bible symbolize the closing of the tomb. The next service is of great celebration on Sunday - Easter.

Valentine Dinner/Youth Auction The men of the church grill steaks for all the women of the church. The men cater to their sweethearts. The youth also sponsor a fundraiser by auctioning baked goods and desserts.

Country Ham Breakfast A long tradition of Collierville Christian has been to reach out to the community in a variety of ways. The Country Ham Breakfast has hundreds of people coming to the church for this meal each January. All proceeds raised go to charity.
 

Golf Tournament/Educational Scholarship The Rev. Bill Reed Memorial Golf Tournament is a great ministry to the community and church. Rev. Reed believed in education. College students and seminary students may apply to receive financial assistance after completing required forms that are presented to the scholarship committee.

Baseball FieldThe Church offers the use for community baseball practice. Practice times must be secured by contacting the Church office.

Vacation Bible School Each summer the church hosts Vacation Bible School for all church and neighborhood youth. This is a fun and spiritual event for all who participate. Each summer offers a new theme and approach to teaching youth about Jesus and the Christian faith.
